Trip overview

Broad Peak is frequently a mountaineer's introduction to the 8,000-metre world. It is serious and high, but less technically sustained than K2 next door.

We provide the same base camp standard as our K2 expeditions, on the same Concordia glacier, with permits, porters and forecasting handled throughout.

Day-by-day itinerary

  1. Week 1

    Approach

    Islamabad to Skardu and the Baltoro trek to Concordia base camp.

  2. Weeks 2 to 5

    Rotations

    Establish and rotate through high camps with rest at base.

    Summit window

    Summit push on a stable weather window.

    Descent

    Clear camps, trek out and return to Islamabad.

Where is Broad Peak base camp?

On the Concordia glacier beside K2, reached by the Baltoro trek. Broad Peak and K2 expeditions often share the same base camp area.
